MySeat is Hushamok’s commitment to provide long lasting eco-friendly baby furniture. While the Hushamok baby hammock continues to offer babies the best in newborn sleep, MySeat is nursery furniture designed for “awake time”.

MySeat can be used for babies as they become more alert and interactive (approximately 12 weeks old). While MySeat is not a baby swing, with its natural movement its ideal for babies. *MySeat must always be used with a Hushamok stand.

Weight/Age Specification: Hushamok recommends using MySeat for babies 12 weeks or older and up to a maximum weight of 50 pounds / 22kg.

I love how the height adjusters in the back are hidden by a zippered piece of fabric, if you knew me you would know I like things looking clean and can’t stand things sticking out and looking tacky.
When Babies are born they come into this world cold and out in the open. Then you put them in these huge open cribs and seats..It’s no wonder babies are fussy! Well meet the Okoa! Not only will your baby feel secure but the natural rocking motions will for sure quiet a fussy baby.
I was a little sceptical at first to put a new born in here because with 3 crazy kids I was scared it was going to tip over, it looks top heavy but it’s actually VERY sturdy. This is one of the best pieces of baby furniture I have ever owned. Not only did the baby sleep better but I slept better!
Caden loves to use it as a race track for his cars.. That’s the first thing he did when I took it out of the box! He grabbed his cars and ran over.. He’s so funny!! I also love how there are adjustable straps on the back of the seat to keep it more secure. You can loosen or tighten to your liking. This helps prevent over swinging.
Though the price will run you $575 for the Okoa stand with hammock
and another $219 for seat if you choose, it’s a little steep.. But it’s so worth it! Not only that but because it’s such a nice piece you can pass it down generation to generation!
Why Hushamok??

Perfect Sleep

Hushamok baby hammock is the ideal environment for newborn sleep, with its soothing rocking motion – it’s the next best thing to the womb.

Hushamok’s modern baby furniture is the perfect alternative to a baby bassinet for newborn sleep and beyond. Our eco-friendly nursery furniture is ideal for the organic baby of today.

Health Benefits

Hushamok guards against serious health concerns that can arise during baby’s sleep. The innovative design of Hushamok’s modern baby furniture enables baby to sleep soundly on their back, which is a key recommendation in the prevention of SIDs.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)

While a complete medical cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) remains unknown, pediatricians agree that infants should sleep on their backs to prevent SIDS. Hushamok creates a restful and nurturing sleep environment for newborn sleep and beyond.

Flat Head Syndrome (Plagiocephaly)

Hushamok baby hammock is designed to conform to baby’s heads, which helps prevent flat head syndrome.
Positional plagiocephaly or ‘flathead syndrome’ can occur when a baby’s head develops a flat spot. This occurs when babies spend a considerable amount of time with their head resting in the same position. In the early ’90s, parents have been told to put their babies to sleep on their back to reduce the risk of SIDs. Since then experts have also noted a fivefold increase in the incidence of misshapen heads.
Babies are born with soft, pliable skulls, so when they rest in the same position on a regular basis, their head can develop a flat spot where it presses against a mattress as found in nursery furniture such as cribs and baby bassinets.

Infant Acid Reflux

To prevent acid reflux in infants, pediatricians recommend keeping baby’s head slightly elevated. Without the use of potentially harmful pillows or other objects Hushamok baby hammock designs provide an elevation that will reduce the symptoms of acid reflux.

Restless Sleepers

William Sears (M.D), Robert Sears (M.D.), James Sears (M.D.) and Martha Sears (R.N.) recommend the natural swinging, rocking and bouncing motion of a baby hammock to induce sleep2. Hushamok’s unique design also helps ease symptoms of colic, which often interrupts newborn sleep cycles. Unlike adults, babies are triggered to sleep by motion; as many mothers notice during pregnancy when baby is asleep during the day and awake at night.
