As a mom the last thing I want to do is pay for auto insurance especially when I don’t drive very often. Seriously my kids school is walking distance and my car is collecting spider webs. So why do I have t0 pay so much in car insurance when I don’t drive that often?

Per-mile insurance means you never get charged for miles that you don’t drive.

Why am I paying so much for car insurance? Did you know that 65% of drivers pay  higher premiums to subsidize the minority who drive the most? Seriously?! If you drive less you should be paying less for insurance. Metro mile per-mile insurance costs less because it’s based on how many miles you drive. If you spend less time behind the wheel, you spend less money on insurance. I like that!

Metromile is revolutionizing the auto insurance world with its pay-per-mile model- allowing drivers to pay for the miles they drive, without judgment of driving style or behavior. Designed for those who drive less than 10,ooo miles per year, per-mile insurance can save the typical customer nearly $500 annually. Metromile is currently the only agent offering a pay-per-mile auto insurance policy in the U.S today.

In 2015, Metromile partnered with Uber to provide much-needed insurance coverage for UberX drivers. Unclear coverage for the ambiguous “period 1” ( when Uber app is on but the driver has not beed matched with a passenger) had let to controversial and costly court battles. The partnership enables both systems t verify drivers and vehicles, which then allows miles driven during Uber’s commercial coverage ( Periods 2&3) to be subtracted fro the driver’s total monthly bill.

Where is Metromile available?
